Educational Tours of the 9-1-1 Center
The Combined Communications Center staff welcomes the opportunity to provide educational tours of the 9-1-1 center for community organizations, neighborhood watch groups, potential job applicants, or members of the general public. Citizens Academy
The Combined Communications Center staff participates in the Citizens Academy conducted by the Gainesville Police Department. A block of training is provided which covers the operation of the Combined Communications Center, the Alachua County 9-1-1 system, and educational information on what to expect when reporting law enforcement, fire or medical emergencies.
Neighborhood Crime Watch
The Combined Communications Center staff is available to attend, or host Neighborhood Watch programs to provide similar information covering the operation of the Combined Communications Center, the Alachua County 9-1-1 system, and educational information on what to expect when reporting law enforcement, fire or medical emergencies. To inquire further concerning Neighborhood Watch programs, please contact the appropriate Crime Prevention/Community Relations representative with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office or the Gainesville Police Department.
