Press Credentials

Credentials will include a photo along with the journalist's name and agency.

Fax the application along with a letter on company letterhead requesting the issuance of your credentials to (352) 374-1816 (applications will not be processed without a letter).

After the applications have been approved, applicants can come to the Sheriff's Office Human Resource Bureau at 2621 S.E. Hawthorne Road, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to have their picture taken and receive their credentials. Please call to schedule an appointment at (352) 367-4040.

We highly recommend that reporters and photographers covering law enforcement and fire/rescue events carry an ACSO media credential or you may be limited to crime scene areas.
